Participates in formal ERIE claims training program. Learns and assists in claims handling operations and processes. Duties and Responsibilities Successfully completes assigned projects independently, using information and skills acquired in the training program, according to course objectives and timeline. Learns and becomes familiar with branch office procedures. Accompanies Material Damage Adjusters or Property Adjusters during the investigation of claims and in handling other related claims functions as required. Develops and demonstrates a working knowledge of the computer based estimating system applicable to the role. Handles claim functions such as establishing reserves, taking statements, documenting activities, conducting investigations and adjudicating losses to their final disposition. Interacts with Agents and district sales managers in assigned territory to become familiar with claims and underwriting issues.
