This exciting hybrid role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service while leveraging your underwriting expertise. Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to policyholders and potential clients through various channels (phone, email, in-person).
- Efficiently handle inquiries, resolve issues, and provide guidance on policy coverage, claims, and billing.
- Process policy changes, renewals, and cancellations with accuracy and speed.
- Evaluate new and renewal insurance applications, assessing risk and determining appropriate coverage and pricing.
- Analyze loss history, property information, and other relevant factors to make informed underwriting decisions.
- Adhere to company underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with producers and underwriters to ensure seamless policy issuance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, policy information, and underwriting decisions.
- Prepare reports and documentation as needed.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and product updates.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Valid Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain one).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or insurance.
- Strong understanding of insurance principles and underwriting guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
