If not attached, your application will not be considered. *About the DivisionThe purpose of Assessment and Taxation is to appraise property, to calculate, collect and distribute taxes, and to provide related information to the public in a manner that merits the highest degree of confidence in our integrity, efficiency, and fairness. We are a broad service organization mandated by the Oregon Constitution and Oregon law and collect revenue for 85 taxing jurisdictions, including local governments, schools, and special districts that provide essential public services for the citizens of Lane County.Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8:00 am - 5:00 pmThis is an AFSCME represented positionQUALIFICATIONSProperty Appraiser 1 Training & Experience:Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, agriculture, engineering or a related field.\No experience is required.Property Appraiser 2 Training & Experience:Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, agriculture, engineering or a related field.Two years of responsible real or personal property appraisal experience equivalent to the Property Appraiser 1.An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.Special Requirements:PROOF OF REGISTRATION AS A COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER FROM THE STATE OF OREGON DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.PLEASE NOTE: This registration is issued by the Department of Revenue (DOR), not the Appraiser Certification and Licensure Board (ACLB). Certification by the ACLB will not qualify for this position. You must possess the DOR registration at time of hire.
