Job DescriptionThe starting salary for this position is $17.65 per hourMission Statement: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Basic Functions: Provide clerical support to the Divisional Property Administrator. Will be responsible for processing property projects through completion. Regular attendance at work is an essential function of this position. Primary Duties Responsibilities:
  • Liaison with Corps Officers to assess their property needs.
  • Liaison with architects, contractors, vendors, etc.
  • Prepare all funding forms.
  • Post information to the THQ Property Minute for TPC approvals.
  • Document information on department database.
  • Process change orders.
  • Prepare and process all property projects for Divisional Finance Board.
  • Follow projects to completion.
  • In consultation with Property Administrator, close out projects in a timely manner.
  • Maintain all property files. (Paper Electronic)
  • Process all property invoices to Finance Department.
  • Notify Corps Officers of corporate approvals.
  • Maintain area bring-up files to monitor timely follow through
  • Travel may be needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Supervision of Others: N/A Education Experience / Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • High School Diploma with two-three years related experience.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel e-mail.
  • Position requires a confident, self-motivated, multi-tasked individual with integrity in the use of resources.
  • Demonstrate ability as a team-builder and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Act in a manner consistent with the Mission Statement of The Salvation Army.
  • Must be a highly organized, detail-oriented (accuracy) self-starter able to meet deadlines.
  • Strong Communication skills are necessary.
  • Willingness to promote and work in accordance with The Salvation Army's mission, vision and values, with particular regard to excellence of service.
  • Must pass all applicable background checks

Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Publisher, and Lotus Notes.
