POSITION SUMMARY: Countryway is looking for a Property Claims Representative (PCR). A PCR handles property damage and liability claims and provides efficient settlements in accordance with company procedures and standards. Position: Full Time, Salaried opportunity with benefits Plan Location: Richmond, VA (West Creek Campus Office) Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am-4:30 pm, schedule supports a 37.5 hr work week PRIMARY DUTIES
- Investigate and settle all losses assigned.
- Comply with company policies and procedures in the handling of all losses and other company matters.
- Report all activity on all claim files to the company promptly.
- Promptly reply to all complaints as requested.
- Evaluate and Estimate claims using photos, measurements, estimating platforms, and other available resources.
- Assign claims to Independent Adjuster as required.
- Advise Underwriting Department on all poor risks.
- Comply with Unfair Claim Settlement Practices Act.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Assist and give guidance to other claim personnel as requested.
- All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Applicable prior insurance claims experience
MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in Xactimate
- Good understanding of building components
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proven customer service skills
- Strong investigation and settlement skills
- Able to write estimates using Virtual Inspection methods
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years previous property claims experience
- Knowledge of insurance contracts
