The Building/Grounds Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of buildings located on property and systems within those buildings. They will fix day-to-day issues like electrical faults, plumbing issues, and manage regular maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, painting, and carpentry.Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform repairs inside/outside buildings.
- Replace floor tiles.
- Repair restroom stall doors, locks and hinges.
- Painting inside/outside of buildings.
- Grounds keeping.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrench.
- Light plumbing and toilet repair.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hand and power tools.
- Communicate supply needs for projects with supervisor.
- Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures.
Qualifications:A good attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
