We are currently recruiting for a Property Maintenance Technician who will be based out of our Stratford location but will have responsibilities for all Optimus sites. The candidate should be experienced working with framing, painting,, sheetrock, and flooring.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for supervising and assisting with the management of Optimus properties and make improvements as needed; assist in property inspections, report problems to manager or other personnel and ensure that properties under his/her care operate smoothly and maintain their appearance; assist Facilities Manager in monitoring building systems operations and performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure that all OHC facilities are comfortable, clean, safe, sanitary, and conducive to delivery of quality patient care.
2. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Facilities Manager.
3. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
4. Manage properties and their associated maintenance, including reporting on project budgets when required to maintain expenses associate with individual projects
5. Document and ensure adherence to zoning and other regulations.
6. Assist Facilities Manager to inspect work performed by outside contractors in compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
7. Visit Optimus sites and confirm status of properties, maintenance, and repairs.
8. Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
9. Assist Facilities Manager to monitor Maintenance helpdesk system to ensure completion of work order.
10. Proactively inspect grounds and building appearance and condition.
11. Flexibility and ability to travel between sites as needed.
12. Perform other duties as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: High school diploma and industry certification helpful
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of (10) years' experience in maintenance and corrective repair of building, renovations, maintenance, equipment, and grounds.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bi-lingual English / Spanish helpful
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic Math Skills
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Industry certifications are also helpful.
