Clarification from the agencyAll current TSA permanent or competitive temporary employees, TSA-Wide and TSA displaced employees.DutiesThis Property Management Specialist position is located Enterprise Support, Security and Administration Services , Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Interprets policy and provides support to TSA programs that purchase and deploy accountable property to TSA HQ and field locations.
  • Manages the logistics management record keeping system to track shipping, receiving, excessing and disposal of the equipment and components.
  • Provides customer service; collaborates with TSA internal and external stakeholders and promotes awareness of property management policies, requirements, and programs.
  • Develops and maintains warehouse procedures and processes, such as the monthly reconciliation process, property receipt and transfer process, and property disposal and applicable sanitation processes.
The major duties described above reflect the full performance level of this position. Typically, the lower pay band (G Band) performs the same duties but will receive more guidance and training; and/or projects/work assignments may be less complex.Requirements Conditions of Employment

    • Experience executing and complying with facilities, property and inventory management policies and procedures.
    • Maintaining accountability of organizational assets through the utilization of automated systems; and
    • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide support to warehouse property management operations.
    • Experience in warehousing and logistical operations.

    • Experience in the development and execution and enforcement of policies and programs to effectively manage facilities, property, and inventory; and
    • Executing asset management activities, maintenance, and related operational support services.; and
    • Providing advisory and technical services to support maintenance, facilities, and property management programs.
    • Experience in warehousing, logistical operations, budgeting, and space planning.
    Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
