Job Description:

Established owner/operator based in NYC is hiring a Property Manager for a large mixed-income complex in Harlem. The Property Manager will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the property, handling administrative tasks, property inspections, maintenance coordination and resident relations. The Property Manager will work closely with the on-site teams to ensure the property is well-maintained, residents are satisfied, and all financial and operational goals of the asset are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote resident satisfaction and retention by promptly responding to complaints, questions and service requests.
  • Oversee resident move-outs by reviewing lease terms, applying appropriate fees, and processing dispositions in accordance with legal and company procedures.
  • Coordinate maintenance work and ensure the maintenance teams comply with company protocols in collaboration with the building Superintendent and Maintenance Director.
  • Work with maintenance teams to ensure violations are addressed and cleared with HPD, DOB, FDNY and other agencies.
  • Partner with leasing to create and implement creative marketing strategies to attract and retain residents.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, assist in preparation of financial reports, and process invoices and payables.
  • Complete daily transactions related to the financial operation of the community, including rent collection, fee processing, and bank deposits.
  • Ensure all rents are collected, posted, and deposited daily.
  • Handle administrative tasks including organizing property viewings, managing resident communications and correspondence, maintaining accurate records and acting as the liaison between vendors, internal support and residents.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager for at least 800 units.
  • Strong knowledge of the NYC residential market.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office Suite, Yardi and various property management platforms.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
