The right candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of Chesapeake Owned properties including bookkeeping, management of lease agreements, and management of all tenant relationships. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Daily bookkeeping (collecting payments, cutting checks, posting payments)
- Collecting rent/lease payments from tenants
- Paying property expenses, including taxes, mortgages, insurance premiums and maintenance costs
- Reporting property's financial status, occupancy, and expiring leases to owner
- Meeting potential tenants, showing them the property, and assessing their applications
- Advertising vacant properties and find tenants as needed
- Arranging contracts for maintenance, trash removal, landscaping, security, and other ongoing services and managing disputes with these service providers where appropriate
- Investigate and resolving property complaints and rental violations
- Managing large commercial tenants
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in property management (required)
- Experience with day-to-day bookkeeping (required)
- Experience with using property management software
- Experience with Buildium (preferred but not required)
- Customer service and interpersonal skills needed to meet with perspective and current tenants
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent ability to think on your feet and use resources to complete tasks
- Ability to prioritize high volume of tasks
- Top notch organization skills
- Ability to work on several projects at once and maintain excellent standard
Salary Description $55,000 - $60,000 per year
