MHA seeks an enthusiastic, career minded, self-motivated individual to serve as the Property Manager for an affordable housing community. This job is perfect for a hard-working and professional team player motivated by setting and upholding standards to make their property stand out from the rest.Primary Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage core business processes, including leasing, resident relations, marketing, maintenance, budgeting, rent collection, recertification, vendor relations, selection and recruitment, and team development.
- Approve lease applicants for properties without a centralized admission function.
- Move in new residents, to include lease preparation and signing, unit inspection, and processing of required records; Perform quality leasing interview, stressing lease obligations, neighborhood services and resident participation opportunities.
- Conduct annual tenant reexaminations; Process interim changes in tenant income and family composition and required documents for administration of amendments.
- Collect damage charges; Arbitrate disputes and recommend waiver of charges if in error; Advise residents on avoidance of future charges.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A four-year degree in public or business administration, social science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in multi-family housing management
- Direct supervisory/management experience
- Ability to communicate fluently
- Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Valid Georgia driver's license, proof of personal auto insurance, and acceptable driving record

- Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) and HOME programming experience

- Available 24/7 to respond to emergency situations; available to work weekends as required
