PROPOSAL COORDINATORPerdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott, LLP (Perdue Brandon or Firm) is seeking qualified candidates to join our Communications Department as a Proposal Coordinator. We need a dynamic, experienced writer with the ability to work with a variety of content contributors and format a winning proposal response. You will be an integral part of the Firm as we continue to expand our services and client base. This position will office in our Austin, Texas location.The Proposal Coordinator serves as the central coordination point for all Request for Proposals/Qualifications responses. This person will manage the flow of information for the opportunity identification, qualification, pursuit and bid processes. The Proposal Coordinator plans and coordinates proposal production efforts including scheduling, reproduction, packaging and shipment of proposals. Performs a broad range of administrative support functions such as the maintenance of the content library, response database and submission outcome. In addition, this position assists the Communication Department as needed with content development and proofreading.Job DescriptionThe Proposal Coordinator plays an integral role in the success and growth of the Firm. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Communications & Proposal Development to respond to requests for proposals/qualifications/information (RFPs, RFQs, RFI), prepare informative packets and maintain the Firm's content library. The successful candidate will spearhead the proposal response process, ensuring that all requirements are met, all information is accurate and submission is on time.As a Proposal Coordinator, you will:* Develop proposal content in response to requests from governmental agencies.* Organize and author various proposal elements including executive summaries, work plans, experience, past performance and more.* Research background materials and contextual information to help ensure proposals are strategic and aligned with client preferences, needs and goals.* Prepare response including content and design, establish submission timelines, organize production and delivery, monitor results and review competitor submissions.* Collaborate with a diverse team to provide up-to-date and accurate information, methodology and innovative tactics for achieving client goals and conveying it clearly and concisely.* Collaborate with graphic designer to develop visuals that enhance narrative content.* Monitor upcoming business opportunities, possible requests for submissions and identify current clients up for renewal and begin response preparation.* Assist in the development and maintenance of a proposal database.* Maintain a content library for proposal responses, producing content and storing it in an accessible, usable format.* Maintain positive working relationships with partners and team members.* Collaborate closely with the communications team, other departments and team members to strategize, troubleshoot and support a culture of open, thoughtful feedback and continuous improvement.As part of the Communications Department team, the successful candidate may also assist with internal and external communications, as needed. Such communications include newsletters, marketing materials, website, intranet site, email campaigns and more.Required Qualifications:* A bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Journalism, Communications, Business or a relevant field plus a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Additional related professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.* Demonstrated exceptional persuasive writing skills with the ability to tell a clear and compelling story.* Fluency with punctuation, mechanics, grammar, word usage and syntax.* Ability to manage multiple deadlines.* Project management experience.* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Adobe InDesign.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products - including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.* Strong skills and attention to detail in writing and editing.* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Preferred Qualifications:* Previous experience with proposal writing and formatting.* Basic knowledge and understanding of similarities and differences between content marketing, business writing and technical writing.* Previous experience working in an office environment.Salary and Benefits:* $55,000 depending on experience* Medical Insurance* Health Savings Account* Dental and Vision Insurance* Life Insurance* Long-term and Short-term Disability Insurance* Accident and Critical Illness Coverage* Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays* 401(k) and Eligible for 401(k) Matching* Annual Salary Review* Annual Bonus EligibilityAbout Perdue BrandonEstablished in 1970, Perdue Brandon is one of the oldest law firms exclusively providing collection services and related legal representation to government entities.
