SUMMARY
Tucker-Rose Associates is seeking a well-seasoned Technical Proposal Writer to participate in proposal writing and support the crafting of technical volumes in responding to RFP, RFI and Sources Sought released by the Federal Government from both DoD and VA. TRA is based out of New Braunfels, TX.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Report directly to the President/CEO, the Proposal Writer is responsible for:
· Writing, editing and conceptual development of technical content to create compelling proposals (primary responsibility)
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Staffing, external partners, and others to gather information needed for the development of a proposal
· Participate in responding to Federal Government RFIs, RFPs at the IDIQ and Task Order level, and other responses at the contract program level as needed
· Participate in analyzing RFPs/RFQs/RFIs
· Support several proposals simultaneously in a high-volume, quick-turnaround environment
· Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; coordinating requirements with all contributors; and contributing deliverable status information to review meetings.
· Maintain and develop technical baseline content for ongoing use by the team
· Edit and proofread proposals and other relevant materials ensuring accuracy, clarity, readability
· Ensure all proposal assignments align with standards, branding guidelines and company policies
· Support other departmental writing needs as required
· Participate in proposal meetings such as Kick off, Win Theme Strategy, and Technical Solutions
· Incorporates and address feedback and comments from Color team reviews
· Ensure content authored meets the compliance requirements
· Translate technical conversations into winning Federal proposal solutions
· Interview SMEs and develop/write technical solutions
REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION
· Minimum of 5 years of government proposal writing or related experience
· Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat
· Strong leadership, organizational, planning, communication, and time management skills
· Ability to multi-task and work against strict deadlines; skill in juggling multiple projects
· Strict attention to detail; must be able to author and lead sections of a proposal, have the ability to review and edit proposal content for clarity, grammar, and proper use of technical or customer terminology
· Availability and willingness to work long hours on short notice during high volume proposal development periods
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong editing skills; must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management
· Demonstrated understanding of proposal development process and management techniques; working knowledge of the Shipley methodology and/or APMP Certification is a plus
