Principal Responsibilities: Develop and deliver budgetary and firm cost investments for On-Site plant and bulk system proposals and assist Proposal Manager with ASU and CO2 plant proposals for investment team with primary focus on delivering consistent, high quality, practical solutions in support of new business.Establish technical criteria for ASU, CO2, On-Site plant and bulk system proposal development in customer meetings, and explain the content and basis of proposals as new business opportunities evolve.Act as Primary Point of Contact with internal stakeholders for all proposal efforts to ensure alignment of project scopes and business cases.Ensure technical, financial, and operational details of proposed solutions are aligned with customer needs and company interests in proposal reviews.Provide business with capital estimates with the appropriate level of accuracy for proposed projects, including the upfront stages where gross-order-of- magnitude estimates are required to determine go/no go decisions in the project feasibility phase.Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the development of a standard package of proposal deliverables (technical documentation, scope split matrices, cost estimates, schedules, project execution strategies, etc.) consistent with the ASU, CO2 and Electronics asset base proposal suite developed by the Project Execution Group.Lead Proposal Hand Over meetings for all approved projects to ensure clean handovers of proposal work to assigned Project Managers.Provide timely updates during bi-monthly proposal review meetings with appropriate reliability team, ROAM and Execution resources to ensure workload forecasts, actual work progress, and proposal commitments are aligned with available supporting resources.Review and participate in selection of qualifying vendors, vendor pricing and standards terms and conditions, in conjunction with Procurement.Develop lessons-learned sessions to assist with settlement of disputes, claims, and promote continuous improvement and Best Operating Practices.Required Skills:Experience with industrial gas equipment such as compressors, blowers, heaters, and motors.Experience with project management, including cost control, planning, scheduling, quality control, and assessments.10% domestic travel.Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering2 (two) years of experience in an industrial gas plant environment, including specialized equipment startup.Job Location: Messer LLC, 200 Somerset Corporate Blvd, Suite 7000, Bridgewater, NJ 08807Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
