Position Overview:

As a Proposal Manager at Hidden Level, you are a dynamic, take-charge leader with the ability to guide a team of highly skilled and busy professionals from various disciplines within the company. You bring extensive experience in managing complex proposal processes and securing significant wins in competitive environments. Your organizational skills and attention to detail are unmatched, and you thrive in situations that require you to develop proposals ranging from strategic business cases to highly technical, in-depth responses. Your expertise ensures that every proposal is meticulously crafted to meet the highest standards and win new business for the company. This position resides in Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Narrative Development: You will craft compelling narratives and documents that drive business growth, ensuring that the proposals align with Hidden Level's strategic objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with technical stakeholders to pursue long-term opportunities, execute pricing strategies, and develop outreach materials such as proposals, white papers, and other critical documents.
  • Proposal Management: Manage and write responses to Government and customer requests, including white papers, product or company information, quotes, and comprehensive proposals.
  • Strategic Pricing: Develop and maintain strategic pricing across all products and business lines, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with company goals.
  • Process Improvement: Own the proposal process with a focus on continuous improvement, streamlining operations, and increasing efficiency.
  • Content Library Development: Develop and curate a content library of prose, briefs, and graphics to be used across the organization, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Technical Coordination: Work closely with engineering teams to accurately represent Hidden Level's technology to potential customers, ensuring that all technical details are precise and effectively communicated.
  • Opportunity Monitoring: Monitor and flag potential opportunities to key internal stakeholders, keeping the team informed of upcoming bids and strategic initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationships: Develop relationships with existing and potential customers, defining opportunities for milestone reviews and long-term engagements.
  • Win Strategy Development: Assess opportunities and develop winning strategies, including pricing to win, in collaboration with Program Directors.
  • Capture Plan Execution: Lead the development and execution of Capture Plans for assigned bid opportunities, coordinating support from various departments (Contracts, HR, Proposal Team, and Pricing) for each pursuit.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Program Directors on staffing strategies, defining roles and responsibilities, and ensuring that the proposal team is well-equipped to deliver high-quality bids.
  • Executive Briefing: Provide ongoing status updates on capture efforts to company executives, ensuring that leadership is informed and engaged throughout the process.
  • Teaming Strategy: Lead teaming strategy discussions and support the negotiation of teaming agreements to strengthen Hidden Level's bid efforts.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 10+ years of leadership and professional experience in proposal management or a related role.
  • Writing Expertise: Excellent writing skills with the ability to generate large documents under tight deadlines, ensuring clarity, coherence, and persuasiveness.
  • Government Expertise: Significant experience with the Government solicitation process, including familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and other relevant regulations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop winning strategies, leading capture teams to success in a highly competitive environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to clearly articulate information, understand business needs, and build relationships across the organization.
  • Diverse Collaboration: Comfortable working with a wide range of disciplines, including design, engineering, program management, supply chain, and finance, to develop comprehensive proposals.
  • Security Clearance: U.S. Person status required; active TS/SCI clearance preferred due to access to export-controlled data.

Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance. Salary Range: The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $115,000 to $142,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer
