This will include coordination and distribution of documents, coordinating, organizing, and scheduling team meetings, and being the point of contact for the team for correspondence related to documentation requirements, compliance matrices and formatting concerns. Our sales activity includes products sold by the Marine Business Unit (US Government and Commercial; International and Domestic).Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of Proposal Administration experience (working within the Defense field, preferred).
- Experience with proposals and quotations for Government Contracts in compliance with the Federal Acquisition Relations (FAR).
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up.
- Possess above average verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate appropriate business acumen.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong documentation and timeline management.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM is highly desirable
- Must be a US Citizen.
- This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance, therefore you must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage large proposal responses from receipt of qualified leads, RFIs, RFQs or RFPs through to final submission.
- Support development of proposal strategies, storyboards, win themes and content.
- Prepare business development and project-specific presentations utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and various other graphic tools.
- Coordinate proposal efforts with SMEs, Supply Chain, Contracts, Subcontractors, Finance, and Human Resources as required.
- Monitor status of proposal development as it relates to documents for completeness, compliance with RFP requirements, and inclusion of win themes and discriminators.
- Works with Management, Sales, and Engineering to develop fully compliant, highly successful proposals.
- Database management for initiation of Proposal/Quote Log-in and progress.
- Manage proposal funnel/pipeline and forecast database, including managing and updating quote and proposal tracker.
- Coordinating pricing meetings including securing internal approvals.
- Continuous improvement on company's proposal process.
- Assembling the deliverable quotation package, including all required supporting data.
- Report performance metrics for proposal progress.
- Providing on-time delivery of the proposal document per the instructions of the Bid Manager.
- Lead for researching and analyzing spare parts business.
