Job Description:
Our client, a national construction/real estate company, is looking for (two) Proposal Writers to join their team 40 hours a week starting mid-November through February 2025 with the high likelihood to extend or go fulltime for the right fit. Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Proposal Writer to join our team, responsible for creating compelling proposals that drive business development. The ideal candidate will have experience in proposal writing and a strong understanding of the RFP process, ensuring our submissions are not only compliant but also persuasive and tailored to client needs.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and write high-quality proposals and documents that effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Collaborate with business development and project teams to gather information and understand client requirements.
  • Edit and proofread proposals to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Manage the proposal submission process, including timelines, reviews, and approvals.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, to create visually engaging presentations that complement proposals.
  • Conduct thorough research on clients and competitors to inform proposal strategy.
  • Maintain a library of proposal templates and previous submissions for future reference.
Qualifications
  • BA in English, Business, Marketing/Communications or a related field.
  • 3+ years of direct experience writing proposals.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing, particularly for RFPs.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills to ensure high-quality submissions.
  • Familiarity with business development processes and practices.
  • Knowledge of A/E/C industry standards and practices a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
