As a member of the Advancement Operations Team, the Prospect Management and Data Analyst's primary responsibility is to provide strategic insight to the School's Advancement team in order to to support the achievement of fundraising and organizational goals. In partnership with the Leadership Giving Team, the individual is responsible for proactively identifying prospects and overseeing a moves management system. Reporting to the Director of Advancement Operations, the individual works with large-scale advancement data and performs tasks associated with data integrity and maintenance, data analytics, reporting, dashboard development, campaign tracking and wealth screening. The position works in depth with multiple advancement applications and will work cross functionally to ensure that systems meet the needs of end users. Eligible for Remote Work Arrangement.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Prospect Management
  • The position proactively identifies prospects, implements and oversees a moves management system in the database (The Raiser's Edge NXT - RE ) that supports campaign priorities.
  • Utilizes prospect screening tools and collaborates with the Leadership Giving Team to maintain and improve the quality and depth of the suspect pool.
  • Works closely with the Associate VP for Leadership Giving & Capital Programs to manage Prospect Management meetings, advise on best practices, collect and integrate information from meetings, and ensure activity discussed in meetings moves forward.
  • Evaluates and manages prospect pipelines to meet the needs of the School and an ambitious capital campaign.
  • Supports a data-driven portfolio management system that provides prospect managers and supervisors a way to track activity and production. Provide OIA Leadership with information about, and analysis of, fundraiser performance.
  • Manages the collection, analyzing, and interpretation of internal and external data to identify, benchmark, and screen prospects for fundraising strategies. Through findings, propose identified prospects to prospect managers based on a strong understanding of department goals and objectives.
  • Extracts and reports accurate and relevant data from RE including creating queries, exports, and reports in support of the Leadership Giving Team's fundraising efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Data Analyst
  • With guidance from the Director of Advancement Operations, produce timely and accurate data outputs from the Advancement database in support of fundraising initiatives.
  • Provide annual metrics and reports for key internal stakeholders including cash flow, total fundraising, and analytical constituent giving reports.
  • Maintain and submit annual NAIS DASL survey information as well as INDEX reporting.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of leadership dashboards for the Office of Institutional Advancement.
  • Work with key stakeholders and the IT department to develop automated reports and data visualizations in Tableau in order to drive strategic decision making.
  • Assist with multi year campaign reporting in support of financial, fundraising and recognition reporting requests.
  • In partnership with the Director of Advancement Operations, the Prospect Management and Data Analyst will continuously evaluate advancement technology in light of OIA strategic direction.
  • Partners with the Director of Advancement Operations on strategic initiatives and special projects as dictated by the needs of the OIA
  • Perform ad hoc reporting & analysis.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least three years of demonstrated experience in prospect management or information field, including at least one year of experience analyzing and synthesizing data sets and producing highly readable, informative reports and presentations required.
  • Excellent information technology skills with aptitude to learn and effectively utilize tools at a 'power user' level. Experience with a relational database such as The Raiser's Edge preferred and electronic database screening.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to organize and synthesize essential information and to present information in highly usable forms and on a timely basis.
  • Ability to create and implement effective tracking systems.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work product.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and take initiative to meet deadlines in a creative, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member, manage multiple projects and priorities, to respond effectively to change, and to manage demanding work situations and deadlines.
  • Strong ethical sense to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Excellent technical skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and Google tools. Knowledge and experience with a Mac environment preferred.
  • Prior project management software experience preferred.
