Job title: Protestant Musician
Location: JBER, Alaska
Travel: N/ADuties:- The applicant shall ensure that all musical selections are appropriate for the specific type of worship service and Christian season.
- The applicant shall ensure that musical selections and instrumentation are suited to the venue.
- The applicant will coordinate with worship service chaplain to adjust tempo and style of accompaniment to enhance the congregation's ability to participate in worship.
- The applicant shall provide for appropriate music for funerals, memorials, and other observances, in cooperation with the chaplain assigned to the service
Qualification/ Education:- A degree in music from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Knowledge of Protestant Traditional music is required.
- Must be able to play piano from sheet music or the hymnal proficiently and assist in vocal leads.
- Ability to perform in these areas is required.
- Previous experience in a Protestant military chapel setting is preferred.
