Job Description:
  • Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
  • Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
  • Use documented work instructions (DWIs), pick lists and bill of materials for light assemblies, including sub-assembly, wire prep, MTX wire machine and Central Media.
  • Sometimes required to read basic and generic mechanical and electrical drawings (wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings).
  • Troubleshoot assembly problems and issues and completion of minimal wiring procedures.
  • Accurately report task and times in Factory Talk Production Centre (FTPC) related to work orders and Critical to Quality (CTQ's).
  • Flexibility and adaptability to assume other roles and support other job families as required.
  • May be required to assist, instruct and provide training to other employees.
  • Participates in activities to increase job knowledge, including required training and certifications, job rotation programs and training and coaching of other employees.
  • Participate in Behavioral Based Safety Training and contribute to the program.
  • Participate in LEAN/Six Sigma Training and contribute to and make recommendations for process improvements and LEAN activities.
  • Performs work in accordance with job -specific training procedures, follows work aids (DWIs, prints etc.,) and produces work that consistently meets quality standards.
  • Ensure tasks are conducted in accordance with applicable employment, environmental, health, safety, quality, and legislation and or regulations (federal, provincial, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, etc.), as well as Client values, ethics, policies and procedures, 5S requirements and standards of business conduct.
  • Creates an optimal work environment by establishing and maintaining positive and respectful work relationships.
  • All other duties as required and assigned by supervision.
  • Responsible for utilizing proper safety equipment and following all safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • Entry Level, High School Education/GED.
  • Must be able to lift 35Ibs.
  • Meet the requirement of Safety, Attendance and Code of Conduct policies.
  • Consistently behaves in accordance with Client standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Self-Direction within Team Environment.
  • Visual and Hand Dexterity.
  • Sit and/or Stand for long periods.
