The principal purpose of this position is to manage and organize a productive flow of merchandise samples for the prototype store.
- Essential Activities and Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing receipt, placement and disposal of merchandise samples
- Responsible for moving sample product as needed
- Responsible for setting all merchandise in the prototype store for plan-o-guides, planners, endcaps, events, advertising, marketing, tests, etc.
- Responsible for partnering with Category Merchants on product priorities
- Responsible for partnering with Category Merchants to gain a basic understanding of category strategies to obtain product knowledge
- Responsible for partnering with Marketing, Visual Merchandising and Space Planning to understand prototype store priorities
- Responsible for partnering with Merchant's Assistants to procure samples for use in the prototype store
- Consulted to resolve conflicting cross-category prototype store priorities
Education and Experience
Qualifications:
- Must be able to fulfill physical requirements for the position (lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Displays excellent communication skills (primarily e-mail)
- Time management skills – self starter
- Good organization skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with different levels within the organization
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Retail store experience preferred
