Robin Industries, Inc., Robin Development Center, at 5200 State Route 120, Berlin, OH 44610 (moving in 2025 to 8562 Port Jackson Ave. NW, North Canton, OH 44720) is seeking a Prototype Supervisor. In accordance with Company practice, Robin is initially posting this position for the benefit of interested and qualified internal candidates who may wish to apply.REPORT TO: Prototype Program ManagerPURPOSEResponsible for supervising activities for manufacturing prototype molded parts.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPlan, layout and assign work according to schedule and individual skills and abilities for most efficient quality operations; follow setup and progress of work; anticipate or investigate delays or inadequate performance and take corrective action; arrange for equipment, materials and supplies to be available for work assignments; maintain quality; assist and instruct personnel to ensure proper flow of work through department.Interpret, implement, and enforce compliance with policies, procedures, and safety regulations.Work with Prototype Program Manager regarding priorities, projects, work in process and the like.Maintain discipline, morale, harmonious personnel relations; handle complaints in accordance with company policy.Participate in continuous improvement with ideas and suggestions that would improve cost effectiveness, enhance general work conditions, and ensure safe working conditions.Enforce prescribed safety and regulations; insure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly condition.REQUIREMENTS:Associates Degree or equivalent training/experience in supervision or management preferred.Strong work ethic and ability to transfer that to employees.Exceptional communication and organization skills.Ability to use computers efficiently.PREFERRED SKILLS OR CREDENTIALS:1-3 years in manufacturing environment, preferably molding.Experience with electronic production management systems or equivalent.Experience with change management and continuous improvement.Knowledge of OSHA standards, 5S organization, Hazard Communication.Forklift or other lift truck qualification.First Aid or First Responder training.Working knowledge of polymer manufacturing theory and practices.Ability to interpret and evaluate data and metrics.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, use hands to position or move, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/ or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.Must be able to use computers regularly to input and evaluate data.
