Perform post processing and inspections. Develop machining strategies and processes as needed.Produce non-CNC components by manual machining (mill/lathe), metal cutting/bending, woodworking, welding/brazing, etc.Assemble components to produce functional parts.Create and modify designs in consultation with requesting engineers.Shop operations & maintenanceMaintain and clean shop tools and machinery. Set up and calibrate CNC cutting tools. Monitor stock of materials, tools, supplies and re-order as neededManage workflow & schedule for prototype part requestsReceive & process requests. Estimate, schedule, and track work activities.Make recommendations and review with engineers as to fabrication approach & methods, material choice, design changes to improve build speed and part quality.Maintain safe working conditionsComply with regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements.QualificationsRequired:High school diploma or equivalent2+ year of experience in machine shop setting including CNC programming and operationFabrication / building experience working with hand and power toolsFamiliarity with basic PC office applicationsPreferredCertificate or higher in manufacturing technology or equivalentProficiency with 3D CAD modeling softwareAdditional InformationSponsorship: Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
