Job Description***HIRING BONUS AVAILABLE***We are currently looking for a medical assistant (36 hours/week) to support the Primary Care Injection Room. Position is eligible for full-time benefits including medical and dental insurance. Applicants do not need previous experience or training/certification as a medical assistant but do need to meet the minimum requirements for the position.Other part-time and full-time opportunities may be available$3,000 HIRING BONUS for eligible candidatesJob Description:As a provider assistant at HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater, you are responsible for a variety of patient care duties and other related duties in the clinical setting that include documentation of medical information, administration of medications/vaccinations and treatments, as well as obtaining medical histories, vital signs, etc.The provider assistant assists the healthcare providers in the timely delivery of services per physician/RN direction and according to Clinic policies and procedures.All programs and activities are designed to support the short- and long-term mission, vision, goals, and objectives of HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater.Responsibilities:
  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Take vital signs and document findings in the patient record
  • Administer immunizations
  • Monitor messages
  • Perform chart review
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Suture/staple removal
  • Ear lavages
  • Allergy injections
  • Basic rooming
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with or without certification (AAMA or AMT) OR
  • Current LPN (MN and WI license required) OR
  • Graduate of an accredited EMT program plus current EMT license (national and Minnesota)
PLUS current CPR certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red CrossPreferred Qualifications:
  • One year medial assistant or LPN experience in a clinic.
  • Experience with Epic electronic medical record software.
All candidates should have excellent verbal and written skills; excellent customer services skills; tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions with patients, families, and care team members; An ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in all interactions; Understanding of patient education needs, able to effectively share information with patient, family members and care team members as needed; Ability to learn, retain information regarding patient care procedures; Ability to plan, prioritize and complete delegated tasks; Ability to remain calm in stressful situation; Experience with EPIC preferred.About UsAt HealthPartners we believe in the power of good - good deeds and good people working together.
