PROVIDER AUDITOR AND EDUCATOR

A large healthcare employer in Houston, TX is seeking a Physician Educator & Auditor to join their growing team. This team will consist of provider auditors and educators who work closely with the providers to ensure the documentation is correct and effective from a coding and clinical perspective.The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable building rapport with providers and able to help educate them on the best practices for clinical documentation and be able to answer any questions and explain their answers/solutions. Required Skills & Experience3+ years of recent experience auditing providersMultispecialty auditing experience - E/M leveling and surgical codingProfee coding backgroundCPC or COC Coding Certification from AAPCKnowledgeable of teaching physician guidelines and coding guidelines about split shared visitsKnowledge of coding compliance policies, official coding guidelines, regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures affecting the coding processMust reside in one of the following states: TX, OK, LA, TN, FL, SC, GA and NE Nice to Have Skills & ExperienceAuditing Credential (CPMA)Bachelors Degree Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
