LOCATION OF POSITION: Select all locations you are willing to work as this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies across the state of Maryland.
POSITION DUTIES: The Alcohol and Drug Certified Associate Counselor assesses all incoming inmates in a designated institution for substance abuse problems and provides counseling, intervention, and treatment and rehabilitation services to those inmates with substance abuse disorder(s). This may also include inmates that are dually diagnosed.
Such services may include, but are not limited to, the following:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must meet all minimum qualifications and certification requirements to be considered and to appear on the list of people eligible for hire. Please read all requirements before applying.
Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists under the requirements for Certified Associate Counselors.
Experience: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists under the certification requirements for Certified Associate Counselors.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.
