They maintain documentation required by state or facility guidelines to demonstrate compliance with supervision requirements.What you bring to the tableEducation* Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner program.Experience* Two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Psychiatric experience preferred and/or experience in a residential healthcare institution.Licenses/Certifications* Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice highly desired.* Must maintain CPR certification, and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required by contract.What you will do* Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, develops plans of care, and evaluates effectiveness of interventions, including medication management and crisis intervention services.* Maintains thorough documentation in compliance with organization policies and procedures, state guidelines, and best practices, including medication education, seclusion/restraint use, infection control, and risk management.* Provides individualized care sensitive to the age and developmental needs of each patient, and participates in on-call schedules and mandatory committees as required.* Adheres to established formularies for therapeutic regimens and utilizes established procedures for admission, transfer, and specialty consultant referrals.* Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual judgments and actions, while supporting standards of psychiatric care and providing input into committees and meetings as requested.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation* Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner program.Experience* Two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
