Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Outpatient- Flexible Schedule) Springfield, MA There is a great opportunity for a psychiatric nurse practitioner in a dynamic, multicultural, multiracial, multilingual outpatient mental health facility located in Springfield, MA with over 25 years presence in this community. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will serve in a vital role of providing comprehensive mental health care for clients in this needy community of Western Mass. The Psych NP's function is to evaluate and assess clients needs for psychopharmacologic interventions and monitor clients to assess symptom management, side effects and efficacy of prescribed medications, and counsel clients regarding compliancy, dosing, side effects and any other necessary education that will benefit the client. Collaborate with clinical staff to determine best treatment plan and outcomes for the client. Utilize supervision as needed for support, feedback/guidance, and to process difficult cases Assist management in developing program policy, plans and expectations for clients receiving medication management services. Ability to work with individuals and groups from diverse populations; bilingual/bicultural preferred The Nurse will have a Psychiatric Coordinator who will assist with correspondence, pharmacy coordination, and client issues.
