Work as a Registered Nurse specializing in adult psychiatric care at a 76-bed inpatient facility. Join a network providing comprehensive mental health services across Connecticut.
Job Summary:
- Perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments
- Participate in treatment team conferences to plan nursing care
- Implement nursing plan of care and conduct group therapy sessions
- Evaluate patient's response to interventions and collaborate with the treatment team
- Provide direct patient care according to physician's order
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for behavioral health patients
- Other duties as assigned reflecting ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Connecticut
- Certified BLS Provider
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred
- Experience in an acute care psychiatric setting preferred
- Evidence of leadership ability and successful management of out of control patients
