Job Schedule: Full Time Standard Hours: 40 Job Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details: 40 hours per week day shift RN, 7:00am-3:30pm. Required to work every other weekend
Job Summary: The Psychiatric Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Performs initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments
- Participates in treatment team conferences
- Implements nursing plan of care and conducts group therapy sessions
- Evaluates patient's response to interventions and revises nursing plan of care
- Provides direct patient care according to physician's order
- Evaluates and recognizes changes in patient's status and revises the plan of care
- Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for behavioral health patients
- Reflects ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred
- Experience in an acute care psychiatric setting is preferred
- Evidence of leadership ability
