Job Shift: Shift 1

Shift Details: As needed (PRN) Sun- 7:00a-3:30p/Sat 3:00pm -11:30p /11P-7:30a. Minimum 1 shift every six weeks

Work where every moment matters. Join Connecticut's premier healthcare network at St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Center in Westport. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and contribute to treatment team conferences.

• Perform initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments
• Participate in treatment team conferences
• Implement nursing plan of care
• Evaluate patient's response to interventions
• Provide direct patient care according to physician's order
• Evaluate and recognize changes in patients' status
• Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to behavioral health patients
• Reflect ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association
• Associate's Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred
• Experience in an acute care psychiatric setting is preferred
• Evidence of leadership ability
