Psychiatrist Qualifications
Valid license to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine in Michigan
DEA license to prescribe controlled substances
Michigan Controlled Substance License
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Board certified (preferred) or Board Eligible
Completed accredited psychiatric residency program
Minimum one year psychiatric experience in a mental health clinic, correctional facility, or inpatient hospital
Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of evidence-based treatments
