Position: Full-time
Duties:- Perform initial, annual, and incident psychological evaluations of Police Officers, including supervisory and investigative roles.
- Determine the emotional and mental stability of officers to ensure they can effectively perform their duties under stress and handle potentially hazardous situations.
- Utilize standardized psychological testing tools to assess the capabilities and suitability of police officer candidates.
- Provide detailed reports on evaluations within specified timelines.
- Ensure confidentiality of evaluation results and comply with all federal and departmental guidelines.
Requirements: - Doctorate in psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- Minimum of five years postgraduate experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders.
- Experience in performing psychological assessments on police officers or similar roles.
- Licensed to practice in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- Travel required to multiple locations for assessments.
- Must be free from any physical or mental conditions that adversely affect the ability to perform the duties.
- Desirable: Board certification in Forensics by the American Board of Behavioral Psychology (ABBP).
