Job DetailsJob LocationHighland- Clarksburg Hospital - Clarksburg, WVDescriptionHIGHLAND CLARKSBURG HOSPITALJOB DESCRIPTIONPSYCHOLOGISTJOB SUMMARY:Individual will make assessments and interpretations based on biopsychosocial evaluations, psychometric tests, semi-structured interviews, therapy sessions, and neuropsychological assessment. Reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs psychological assessments, testing and evaluation for adults, adolescents and children.Provides diagnosis based on assessments, testing, and evaluation. Develops and recommends treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnosis.Provides referrals when necessary for additional care evaluation or treatment.Collaborate with treatment team to provide best care.Compete all necessary documentation in a timely manner.Ensure all services are completed according to relevant ethical and professional standards of care. Maintenance and completion of clinical documentation consistently.ADDITIONAL DUTIES:Operate within ethical and professional standards of care.Collaborate with other healthcare providers to evaluate the medical and physical conditions of clients.Perform psychological therapies, risk assessment, training and supervision. Other related duties as assigned. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience:Master's degree in psychology with a minimum of three years' experience or Doctorate in Psychology with a minimum of two years' experience in providing psychological support to adult and child populations. Must have experience in psychological testing. Working knowledge of Forensic population is preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience as a psychologistExperience in mental health disturbance and/or dual diagnoses preferred. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Strong working knowledge of diagnostic techniques and a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities. Familiarity with assessment techniques. Certificates, License, Registration:West Virginia Board of Examiners of Psychologists licensure. Must be Supervised, licensed or license eligible in WV.Language Skills:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable as needed. Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively with patients and their families, employees and public.Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable as needed. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.Other Skills and Abilities:Ability to deal with a variety of personality types; remains calm during high stress situations.
