Flexible scheduling, preceptorship, and model treatment programs.Position SummaryThe Psychologist provides psychodiagnostic evaluations, psychological counseling and crisis intervention to patients and families. Provides recommendations and consultations to staff members regarding patient care matters.Responsibilities:Specific DutiesConducts psychological evaluations, including collection of anamnestic information and mental status examination, leading to diagnostic impression and recommendations for management and/or treatment.Provides psychological treatment and interventions, as indicated, including individual, marital-family and/or group counseling as well as crisis intervention.Prepares and delivers oral and written psychological reports to appropriate medical and/or clinical staff in a timely manner.Maintains records as required by hospital policies, regulatory and accrediting agencies.Establishes and maintains an appropriate clinical caseload.Participates in departmental and rehabilitation team meetings and conferences regarding patient care issues.Participates in training and education of medical residents, patients/families, staff members and others as directed.Contributes to program improvement in an effort to improve quality of clinical services on an ongoing basis.Performs other duties as requested.Qualifications:Minimum QualificationsDoctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, EdD) in Psychology requiredCurrent and valid state licensure as a Psychologist requiredOne or more post-doctoral years of experience in the practice of Psychology requiredPreferred ExperienceNeuropsychology degree and neuropsychological practice within a rehabilitation setting preferredAdditional Data:Overview of Select Medical Inpatient Rehabilitation HospitalsSelect Medical's Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals provide advanced treatment and comprehensive care to best address the medical, physical, emotional and vocational challenges for individuals with:Brain InjurySpinal Cord InjuryStrokeAmputationNeurological DisordersOrthopedic ConditionsMultiple Traumas Select Medical is committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity at all levels and is an equal opportunity employer.
