Shift: 6:00pm 6:30am; plus one 48 hour shift on call each biweekly pay periodStatus: Part Time; 4 shifts per biweekly pay periodWeekends: Every 3rdHolidays: Rotation** Will have opportunity to schedule additional call hours if desired.*** Hours may vary due to transport runs.This position will receive on call compensation for being available during the scheduled call hours. This position reports to the Director of Emergency Services.Qualifications/Experience:Licensed EMT or Paramedic.Current Ohio drivers license with a good driving record.Must be 18 years of age or older.Ability to be available for scheduled call hours, flexibility is key.Position involves lifting requirement of up to 80lbs.EMS experience preferred.CPR certification required.ACLS certification is a plus.Responsibilities:Transport delivery of patients. Mental Health observer. Lab runner. Assist with procedures. Assist with patient care. Transporting admission and discharges from all nursing areas. Inventory, maintaining, and cleaning ambulances. Assist with courier runs when needed. ER inventory and stocking. Assistance with storeroom duties. All other duties as assigned.Skill/Ability:Requires basic clinical skills in assessment and delivery of care for patients of all ages.Ability to think critically including interpretation, analysis and evaluation.Demonstrates effective problem solving skills in role.Ability to work independently and as a team player, to exercise good judgment and successfully manage a variety/multi tasks.Positive service oriented, written and verbal skills. Must demonstrate effective communication with individuals of all ages.Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing the patients condition during transport.Responsible for transporting patients to other facilities in a safe and comfortable manner. Collaborates with other health care disciplines to provide quality care.Performs other duties as assigned.
