• Collaborates with other recess staff and takes initiative to coordinate lunch processes and grade-level student transitions
• Takes initiative to coordinate recess activities, as needed.
• Actively and frequently interacts with students in a mutually respectful and caring manner
• Maintains a student-centered approach
• Contributes to a positive environment
• Demonstrates knowledge of students' needs, skills, and language proficiencies
• Uses appropriate materials and resources to help students at recess
• Works in partnership with classroom teachers and administration to ensure that students are safe and focused during their recess time
• Actively engages students in meeting clear behavior expectations
• Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with all stakeholders
• Carries out all logistical tasks at recess efficiently and effectively
• Exhibits integrity, leadership, and professionalism as a positive member of the school community
• Follows duties, as assigned by the assistant principal
