one vacancy exists for a Part-time Student Support Specialist for MEP - Chester County campus within the Migrant Education Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU. This position will work with migrant children in the Chester County region. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred
- Bilingual speaking, required (Spanish)
- Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students, preferred
- Experience working with elementary students, or middle/high school students, preferred
- Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant children and families, preferred
- Must have Act 33 and 34 Clearances
- Must have Federal Criminal History record
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Implementation of Migrant Education Summer Program for elementary students in Chester County 2. Work with students in a classroom setting to provide reading, writing, speaking, and listening learning across the content areas 3. Submit weekly lesson plans, implement curriculum as provided, and submit end-of-summer progress reports 4. Provide regular communication with Migrant Education staff 5. Attend summer in-service, parent meetings and weekly staff meetings Estimated workdays and hours: Monday - Friday, 3 hours daily (2:30 - 5:30 pm or 3:00 - 6:00 pm) Through the end of May 2024 - 2025 Salary: Project, Level 13, $29.70 - $37.13/hr. *Placement on band is commensurate with years of experience in a similar role* LB Equal Opportunity Employer Chester County Intermediate Unit is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
