Job DescriptionA top CPA firm in thearea is looking to add a Bookkeeper to their team. This stable and growing firm offers clients valuable knowledge and expertise in tax. Due to the recent growth of the firm, there is an opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join a team of highly motivated staff. Position Responsibilities: - Maintain financial records and documents such as invoices, receipts, and bank statements. - Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data. - Prepare and process payroll for employees. - Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and financial statement preparation. - Collaborate with the team to analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvements. Position Essential Job Functions: - Proficiently use accounting software and tools to accurately record and process financial transactions. - Perform data entry and ensure timely and accurate recording of financial information. - Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve any accounting-related issues. - Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support. - Stay updated on accounting regulations and maintain compliance with industry standards. Qualifications Include:
  • - 3+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping role.
  • - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • - Associates degree in Accounting.
  • - Proficiency in using accounting software (QuickBooks, etc.). - Attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately. - Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
  • High stress tolerance -- thrives in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, strong problem solving & prioritization skills
The position requires related experience working in external relationship management. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
