Andaz Miami Beach is now recruiting Public Area Attendants to join the hotel's opening team. Opening in early 2025, the property boasts 287 guestrooms including 34 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. Position Summary The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel. This person must have exceptional communication skills as well as superior guest service abilities. This position is fast paced with constant customer interaction and must be able to push and pull a moderate weight. The Public Area Attendant must be knowledgeable about floor care in areas of wood floor, carpet, marble floor, mopping, buffing, crystallizing, stripping, waxing and shampooing. Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions •Cleaning of common/public areas ; Cleans assigned washrooms, to specified standards using prescribed procedures, including but not limited to wiping, dusting, sweeping, mopping, polishing, scrubbing, shampooing, other and straightening; •Acknowledges and greets guests in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting; •Reports damaged or defective washroom equipment or fixtures to the shift leader; •Maintains stock of cleaning equipment and chemicals in good order; requests towels, cleaning supplies and equipment, as needed; accounts •Picks up ground litter around hotel or whatever visible. •Assists the housekeeping department as needed with cleaning, laundry, and supplies •Complete various additional tasks and assignments as needed. •Ensuring that the facility remains clean at all times. •Responding to customers' queries, concerns, and complaints. •Pushing empty and full bins with linens, bending while sorting items and lifting items to pack on shelves. •Perform any other related duty as required.
