As a SQL Database Administrator, this person will be working closing with application teams for implementing project specific tasks, maintain existing databases and perform daily/weekly/monthly/yearly tasks. Will involve in DR activities.Duties:•Project Development Support•Tuning, Monitoring and Patching•Inter/Intra Organizational Communication•Backup and Recovery•Security and Compliance of the SQL Server database environmentMinimum Educational Qualifications:Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems (IS), Computer Science, software engineering, information technology and/or equivalent industry experience.Position Requirements:•5-8 years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator experience•2-4 years of experience in working large scale projects.•Should have knowledge of cloud computing concepts, virtualization, and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) platforms.•1-2 years of experience in SOX related requests.•Strong technical knowledge of SQL Server database administration, architecture/design, data analysis and management•Strong technical knowledge of current SQL Server database systems and versions, including other Windows based tools, utilities and active directory.•Extensive application support experience working with application teams.•High-level understanding of IT infrastructure planning and development.•Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.•In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.•Good understanding of Project Management skills.•Automotive industry IT knowledge is preferred.
