SUMMARY

The Public Health Analyst provides technical assistance, coordination support, and policy and programmatic development support. Identifies trends, patterns and potential risks to the population and provides evidence-based recommendations and strategies to improve public health outcomes.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Experience in federal government contracting preferred.

Ability to travel in support of in-person working group meetings as needed.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Collects and organizes data from various sources, such as surveys, research studies, and health records. Analyzes data using statistical software and other tools to identify patterns, trends and correlations. Develops and implements data collection methods and protocols.

Provides technical assistance for policy development, collection, and analysis of data, developing a variety of technical correspondence (e.g., position papers, reports, briefing materials, etc.).

Participates on various workgroups with a focus on specific issues for resolution and response to inquiries.

Coordinates visits and conferences with foreign government participants and acquire data and

information for briefing material.

Prepares high-level meetings on health-related topics, such as biosecurity and infectious disease surveillance. Develops and conducts presentations. Develops briefing memos, guidance documents other correspondence related to public health concerns.

Demonstrates excellent computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (e., Access, Excel, Word, Outlook).

Applies analytical and problem-solving skills to relevant tasks assigned.

Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership.

Demonstrates excellent customer service and relationship-building skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and a minimum of two (2) years in policy and public health setting, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Experience with infectious disease public health-related topics preferred.

The pay range for this role is 75K - 95K. This salary range is representative of the various ranges found within the professional sector across the United States, with the final offer amount dependent on location, skillset, and experience.
