The St. Charles County Public Health Department is offering an internship opportunity to gain experience in the field of Health Education and Health Promotion. This is a paid internship working 15-20 hours per week beginning January 21st 2025 through the Spring semester.
GOALS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES:
* Develops, implements, and presents health education programs to schools, civic groups, and organizations.
* Participates with various agencies and community organizations in the St. Charles county area.
* Assists in the preparation of informational pamphlets and educational materials.
* Assists in building evaluation tools and conducting evaluations of programs.
* Assists with special projects.
* Gain experience in the field of health education and health promotion.
* Learn how to develop, present, and evaluate health education programs.
* Complete 150 hours of service between the start date to end date determined by the intern.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in the field of health education and health promotion.
* No experience is required, but a knowledge of health education, powerpoint, and how to conduct a program is desired.
* Employment is contingent on successfully passing a full criminal background check.
