Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $24.00Hours per week: 40 Job Classification: Nonexempt, Full-TimeJob Type: Onsite Location: Fruitlands Museum, Harvard, MAWhat You'll Do Your ImpactAt Fruitlands Museum, you'll play a crucial role in connecting people with the beauty of nature, art, and history. As the Public Programs and Events Coordinator, you will create engaging experiences that foster community connections and inspire visitors to explore our vibrant landscape and unique exhibits.The Role In this full-time (40 hours per week) position, you will be at the heart of designing and executing a variety of indoor and outdoor events. From lively concerts to educational nature programs and interactive art classes, each day will bring new opportunities to engage diverse audiences and bring innovative programs to life.Specifically, you'll:
  • Craft and Curate Experiences: Design captivating public programs that highlight the intersection of art, nature, and history.
  • Engage and Inspire: Write compelling program descriptions for our website to attract and excite visitors.
  • Manage Events with Flair: Oversee group reservations and collaborate with partners and vendors to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Promote and Share: Utilize social media to create buzz around programs through engaging posts, ads, and marketing efforts.
  • Lead a Passionate Team: Schedule and manage volunteers and event assistants, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Optimize Resources: Manage income and expenses to maximize net revenue for sustainable programming.
  • Administrative Duties: Various administrative tasks to aid in the management of the Museum office.
This is a full-time, nonexempt position (40 hours/week) reporting directly to the Senior Regional Engagement Manager. QualificationsEligibility Criteria
  • Current authorization to work in the United States - a candidate must have such authorization by first day of employment
  • A valid driver's license
  • A satisfactory criminal background (CORI) check
