Public Relations Associate Vice President - Technology PR (Boston)LOCATION: The Public Relations Associate VP will be based in our Boston office. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely each week. It is a full-time, direct-hire position. (There is 1 open position in our Tech PR practice, and it can be filled at either AVP or AS level, for any of our locations in Boston, NYC, or Atlanta. This is the AVP ad for Boston.)Applicants must have extensive (7 years) of PR agency and professional public relations experience to effectively manage and grow B2B and B2C Tech PR client campaigns. This position will also pursue and develop new business presentations, manage and cultivate PR staff members, and help set the tone for how the business is managed.Finn Partners is an award-winning, global, integrated marketing and public relations agency. The PR Associate VP is an essential client contact who ensures our team develops and executes high-quality strategic communications campaigns that exceed client expectations.Responsibilities:
Develop and execute creative, strategic client public relations programs and campaigns, including budget and KPI tracking. Manage day-to-day client program responsibilities and deliverables. Nurture and sustain existing client relationships and seek out opportunities to expand the scope of business with our clients. Develop ongoing communications strategies and tactical plans for clients. Leverage existing relationships and create new relationships across technology trade and business media to drive coverage on behalf of clients. Productively provide ideas to clients to maximize communications results and/or anticipate issues. Manage and develop account team members as assigned. Identify new client relationship opportunities for our public relations TECH practice. Assist the Partner of the TECH practice in activities to pitch and win new client business.Requirements: 7+ years of prior work experience directing public relations teams and client campaigns. Prior PR work experience specializing in technology clients is highly preferred. Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a technology field. Deep understanding of public relations and media relations based on prior years of relevant work experience. Experience thinking creatively and planning strategically and globally. Experience assessing, pursuing, and winning new client opportunities. Adept at developing and delivering presentations/pitches to current and prospective clients. Ability to understand the experiences of other FP employees and incorporate them into successful business strategies. Strong verbal, writing, and editing skills. Ability to motivate and lead others. Superb interpersonal skills. Ability to budget programs and manage client finances. Availability to travel as needed to off-site meetings and/or client events.Salary range is $110,000-$140,000.
