Job Description:
The Public Safety Department at Jefferson Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty in Criminal Justice to grow our adjunct pool. Candidates may be needed to teach one or more courses during the day, evening or weekend.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; however, a Master's degree is preferred. Prior teaching experience at the college level is also preferred. Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.
Additional Information:
This is a pooled search. Jefferson Community College is seeking to develop a pool of qualified applicants to teach courses in Public Safety. Adjunct applications will be kept on file for three years to fill part-time teaching vacancies as they occur.
The College determines the need for adjunct instructors based on planned courses each term; it is not possible to predict the need for future semesters. When an opening does occur, finalists for adjunct positions are contacted for interviews.
