Job Description:

The Town of Cohasset, an active waterfront community on the South Shore, is looking for per-diem Public Safety Support Clerks to join the Police Department team. Night, weekend, and some holiday availability is essential. General Responsibilities: Perform a variety of routine and complex clerical, administrative, and technical duties, including, but not limited to:

  • Running computer checks on missing and wanted individuals
  • Entering police information into state and federal police computer systems
  • Filing records
  • Filling requests for public records
  • Returning impounded vehicles and property to citizens
  • Assisting members of the public and police department as directed
  • Prisoner watch/suicide prevention
  • Answer phones, and log messages and requests for departmental staff and management
  • Answer general questions regarding Police work
  • As assigned, prepare, send necessary correspondence and follow up on inquiries
Minimum requirements include: A high School Diploma or GED equivalent is required Salary: Per Diem PT-5 step 12 $22.45 hourly Full Job Description: Click here
