We are seeking an experienced Vice President Corporate and Investment Banker to join our Latin America Public Sector team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with public sector clients, including sovereigns, state-owned enterprises, and multilateral agencies across the LATAM region. The role requires a deep understanding of the unique financial needs of public institutions, as well as a strong ability to deliver tailored banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with public sector clients in Latin America, including governments, ministries of finance, development banks, and other public institutions.
Business Development
Identify new business opportunities within the LATAM public sector by understanding client needs and offering customized solutions across corporate banking products (e.g., loans, treasury services, trade finance, capital markets, debt issuance).
Transaction Structuring and Execution
Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex financing transactions, including bilateral and syndicated loans, project finance, and debt capital markets products.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams, including Credit Risk, Treasury, Legal, and Capital Markets, to structure transactions and manage the credit approval process. Collaborate with product teams to deliver comprehensive banking solutions.
Market Analysis
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay informed of economic trends, regulatory developments, and geopolitical factors impacting the LATAM public sector. Use this information to advise clients and inform strategic decision-making.
Risk Management
Assess and manage credit and reputational risks associated with public sector transactions. Ensure compliance with internal risk policies and regulatory requirements.
Leadership and Mentoring
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior bankers and analysts. Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Experience
5 years of corporate banking experience, with a focus on the public sector and/or LATAM markets. Proven track record of working with sovereign and quasi-sovereign entities.

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $160,000 to $200,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
