The City of East Lansing is seeking a public service employee.This position, under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Public Works, performs a variety of duties related to the care and maintenance of the City within an assigned division. Staff are assigned to divisions related to road network maintenance, parks/buildings landscape maintenance, sewer system maintenance, water system maintenance, and sanitation/recycling services.This position performs a wide range of general labor tasks and operates both light and heavy-duty equipment while following standard safety procedures and regulations. Experience related to the divisions listed above or other manual/skilled labor position is preferred; however, willingness and eagerness to serve the needs of this community is most preferable and training is provided for all operations, tools, and equipment.
