What You'll Do:
In this position as a Public Utilities Administrator 2, you will supervise a subset of Gas Pipeline Safety field inspectors and assist the FOFD Chief with managing the Gas Pipeline Safety program. This will involve training new inspectors, routine administrative supervision duties, and field observations of the inspectors that report to you. This will also include ensuring inspections are completed, reports are complete and accurate, non-compliance documentation is sufficient, and non-compliance follow-ups are completed. This position will also be expected to respond along with gas pipeline safety inspectors to significant natural gas related incidents. Other responsibilities may include assisting with completing grant applications and progress reports, drafting staff reports for compliance actions, and assisting with rate cases.
Report in location: Employee's will use their home as their report-in location/headquarters.

36 mos. exp. in position comparable to Public Utilities Administrator 2, 23152 in government agency or public utility; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques or management.
* Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, public administration, finance, economics, accounting or engineering; 12 mos. exp. in enforcement of public utility service standards; 12 mos. exp. in enforcement of transportation safety or economics regulations, or auditing public utilities for compliance with accounting practices & procedures, or public utility research, or rate structure analysis; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques or management.
* Or completion of graduate core program in business administration, public administration, finance, economics, accounting or engineering (i.e., field of study must correlate with assigned duties); 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in public utilities field.
* Or 12 mos. exp. as Public Utilities Administrator 1, 23151.
* Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
